Veteran Plaid politician reveals intriguing family link to JFK assassination

Veteran Plaid Cymru politician Dafydd Wigley will reveal an intriguing family link to the John F Kennedy assassination in a talk in Wrecsam next month.

Mr Wigley, who has spent 50 years in Westminster as an MP and latterly as a Lord, will be speaking at a talk in Saith Seren organised by the local Plaid Cymru branch.

His talk will be about a relative, Murray the Hump, who was Al Capone's right-hand man and the suggestion that the gangster was involved in the assassination of President John F Kennedy in 1963.

The event will also feature father-and-daughter folk duo Bryn and Cadi from north Powys and has been organised by Plaid Cymru's Wrecsam branch.

Councillor Becca Martin, one of the organisers, said: "It's a real treat to have Dafydd Wigley come to Wrexham to visit us and share his insights. The event is a fundraiser for our Westminster campaign and we're sure many people will want to attend to hear what he has to say. I'm also looking forward to hearing Bryn and Cadi, who are a lively folk duo gaining a real following across Wales."

Tickets are available behind the bar at Saith Seren for just £5 and the event starts at 7pm.
